Genus Tanichthys
Canton danio - The species was discovered at White Cloud Mountain in Guǎngdōng in the 1930s by a Boy Scout leader called Tan—hence the generic name Tanichthys .
Tanichthys micagemmae - It is similar in appearance to the White Cloud Mountain minnow , the only other member of its genus, which is a commonly sold freshwater aquarium fish.
