Genus Coccyzus

Yellow-billed Cuckoo - Adults have a long tail, brown above and black-and-white below, and a black curved bill with yellow especially on the lower mandible. The head and upper parts are brown and the underparts are white. There is a yellow ring around the eye. It shows cinnamon on the wings in flight. Juveniles are similar, but the black on the undertail is replaced by gray.

It used to be placed within the genus Hyetornis along with the Bay-breasted Cuckoo, but this genus was dissolved by the American Ornithologists' Union . It is endemic to Jamaica. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.

 

Coccyzus rufigularis - The Bay-breasted Cuckoo is a species of cuckoo that is endemic to the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean. It has a length of roughly 45–50 centimetres . C. rufigularis possesses a curved bill, a grey throat and breast, a black tail, and white-tipped retrices.

 

Coccyzus vetula - The Jamaican Lizard-cuckoo is a species of cuckoo in the Cuculidae family. It is endemic to Jamaica. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

 

Coccyzus vieilloti - The binomial name of the Puerto Rican Lizard-Cuckoo species commemorates French ornithologist Louis Jean Pierre Vieillot.
