Vahl's eelpout, or the checker eelpout is a subarctic fish which feeds on polychaetes, small crustaceans and molluscs (Scott and Scott, 1988). This species is expected to occur in the bay, but was not found during an extensive survey carried out in 1978 (Kenchington, 1980). More
