Genus Sturnus

Sturnus albofrontatus - The White-faced Starling, Sturnus albofrontatus, is a member of the starling family of birds. It is an endemic resident breeder in Sri Lanka. It was for a long time erroneously known as S. senex; this was eventually identified as a junior synonym of the Red-billed Starling .

Grey Starling - The White-cheeked Starling or Grey Starling is a passerine bird of the starling family. It is native to eastern Asia where it is a common and well-known bird in much of its range. Usually, it is placed in the genus Sturnus, but sometimes it is united with the typical mynas in Acridotheres. This is supported by recent studies, but together with the Red-billed Starling which seems to be its closest living relative it represents an old lineage among the typical mynahs. They might arguably be awarded a distinct genus, but this is probably unnecessary.

Asian Pied Starling - The Asian Pied Starling , also known as Pied Myna, is a species of starling found in South and Southeast Asia. The taxonomic position has changed with it being placed with the Sturnus in the past.

White-headed Starling - The White-headed Starling , also known as the Andaman White-headed Starling, is a species of starling in the Sturnidae family. It is found in wooded habitats on the Indian islands of the Andamans and Nicobars. It is sometimes placed in the genus Sturnia.

Chestnut-tailed Starling - The Chestnut-tailed Starling or Grey-headed Myna is a member of the starling family of perching birds. It is a resident or partially migratory species found in wooded habitats in India and Southeast Asia. The population in the Western Ghats has a white head and this taxon blythii) is sometimes considered a full species.

Black-winged Starling - The Black-winged Starling is a species of starling in the family Sturnidae. The species is also known as the Black-winged Myna or the White-breasted Starling. It is endemic to Indonesia. There are three recognised subspecies, the nominate race, which occurs across much of the island of Java, tricolor, which is restricted to south east Java, and tertius, which is found on Bali and possibly Lombok. The validity of the records on Lombok has been called into question, there are only a few records and they may represent escapees from the cagebird trade or natural vagrants. The species has often been assigned to the starling genus Sturnus, but is now placed in Acridotheres because it is behaviourally and vocally closer to the birds in that genus.

Brahminy Starling - The Brahminy Myna or Brahminy Starling is a member of the starling family of birds. It is creamy orange bird with a black cap and a slight crest. They are usually seen in pairs or small flocks in open habitats on the plains of South Asia.

Rosy Starling - The Rosy Starling, or Rose-coloured Starling, Sturnus roseus is a passerine bird in the starling family Sturnidae. It is sometimes given its own, monotypic genus Pastor; a split supported by recent studies; its closest living relatives are still not certainly known .

White-shouldered Starling - The White-shouldered Starling is a species of starling in the Sturnidae family. It is found in Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

It is resident in southern and western Europe and southwestern Asia, while northeastern populations migrate south and west in winter to these regions, and also further south to areas where it does not breed in Iberia and north Africa. It has also been introduced to Australia, New Zealand, North America, and South Africa.
