Genus Ammomanes

 

Ammomanes cinctura - The Bar-tailed Lark is a species of lark in the Alaudidae family. It is found in Afghanistan, Algeria, Cape Verde, Chad, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel and Palestine, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Malta, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Western Sahara, and Yemen. Its natural habitat is hot deserts.

Desert Lark - It is resident apart from local movements in arid stony areas, and avoids flat sand. Its nest is on the ground in a rock crevice or amongst stones, with 3-4 eggs being laid. The food of the Desert Lark is seeds and insects, the latter especially in the breeding season.

Gray's Lark - The Gray's Lark is a species of lark in the Alaudidae family. It is found in Angola and Namibia. Its natural habitat is hot deserts.
