Caica Parrot Pyrilia caica – A distant perched bird was scoped for good views at Imitaca forest. The orange face with ruffling by ear was seen well. An uncommon parrot of this region. Blue-headed Parrot Pionus menstruus - The most common parrot in the lowlands throughout our tour. Seen almost daily. Red-billed Parrot Pionus sordidus – A pair of these small, uniformly dark parrots flew by at eye-level in front of Rancho Grande in the shade. It is the only all dark Pionus it could have been. More
