For example, Ridgway (1904) gave the following data on wing length of males: Sinaloa is 136.7 mm (mean; range 136-138 mm) and of Caribbean is 143.5 mm (range 134-149 mm) . More

The Caribbean Martin (Progne dominicensis) is a large, steel-blue swallow with a white belly and a forked tail. It is fairly common as a breeding bird throughout much of the Greater and Lesser Antilles (except Cuba) and is often seen over open or semi-open terrain near water. The nonbreeding distribution of the Caribbean Martin long has been a mystery, but evidence is accumulating that this species winters along the coast of northeastern South America. More
