The Congo Serpent-eagle is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is monotypic within the genus Dryotriorchis. It is found in Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone.

Congo Serpent Eagle Dryotriorchis spectabilis RANGE West and Central Africa: occurs from Sierra Leone and Liberia to Ghana and again from southern Nigeria east to western Uganda ranging south to Gabon (perhaps northern Angola) and central Zaire. HABITAT Dense primary rainforest. Rarely seen due to secretive behaviour and poor light of its preferred habitat. More
