Crowned Hornbill - The Crowned Hornbill can be distinguished from the similar Bradfield's Hornbill by its shorter beak.

 

Bradfield's Hornbill - Females are smaller than males and can be recognized by turquoise facial skin. The eyes are yellow and the beak is red. The beak is long and presents no casque.

Von der Decken's Hornbill - This species is a small hornbill which has mainly whitish underparts and head and blackish upperparts. It has a long tail and a long curved bill which lacks a casque. It is similar to the Red-billed Hornbill except for the bill colour, and the lack of spotting on the wing coverts in both male and female.

Red-billed Hornbill - During incubation, the female lays three to six white eggs in a tree hole, which is blocked off with a plaster of mud, droppings and fruit pulp. There is only one narrow aperture, just big enough for the male to transfer food to the mother and the chicks.

 

African Pied Hornbill - African Pied Hornbill is a common resident breeder in much of equatorial Africa from The Gambia to western Uganda and northern Angola. It eats insects, small reptiles and frogs. This is a bird mainly of forest habitats. The female lays up to four white eggs in a tree hole, which is blocked off during incubation with a cement made of mud, droppings and fruit pulp. There is only one narrow aperture, just big enough for the male to transfer food to the mother and the chicks.

 

Eastern Yellow-billed Hornbill - The Eastern Yellow-billed Hornbill is a species of hornbill in the Bucerotidae family. It is found in Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. It resembles the Southern Yellow-billed Hornbill, but has blackish skin around the eyes.

 

Black Dwarf Hornbill - The Black Dwarf Hornbill is a species of hornbill in the Bucerotidae family. It is found in Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Togo, and Uganda.

 

Hemprich's Hornbill - The Hemprich's Hornbill is a species of hornbill in the Bucerotidae family. It is found in Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, and Uganda.

 

Jackson's Hornbill - The Jackson's Hornbill is a species of hornbill in the Bucerotidae family. It is found in Kenya, Sudan, and Uganda. Except for the dense white spots to the wing-coverts, it resembles, and is often considered a subspecies of, Von der Decken's Hornbill.

Southern Yellow-billed Hornbill - They have a white belly, grey neck, and black back with abundant white spots and stripes. They feed mainly on the ground, where they forage for seeds, small insects, spiders and scorpions. Termites and ants are a preferred food source in the dry season.

Monteiro's Hornbill - Females are smaller than males and can be recognized by turquoise facial skin. The eyes are black and the beak is red. Unlike other members of the family, which are omnivorous, the Monteiro's hornbill feeds exclusively on insects and other small arthropods. Its habitat is the savannah and dry thorn fields of NW Namibia.

African Grey Hornbill - The African Grey Hornbill is a widespread and common resident breeder in much of sub-Saharan Africa and into Arabia.

 

Pale-billed Hornbill - The Pale-billed Hornbill is a species of hornbill in the Bucerotidae family. It is found in Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zambia.
