sighting being the bird-of-the-trip Red-naped Fruit Dove sat in full view, calling and then flying overhead. Metallic Pigeon perched out once and a good size flock of Sumba Green Pigeon miraculously escaped our attention before circling round and perching close-by. Parrot numbers were well down from last year, especially the Marigold Lorikeets, though with persistence we had wonderful views of a pair apparently inspecting a roadside tree-hole as a suitable nesting site.
