The Scaled Dove is a resident of arid savanna and scrub. It occurs in two disjunct populations, oen in northern South America in Venezuela and Colombia, and another that extends from northeastern Argentina north through central and eastern Brazil. The Scaled Dove has greyish-brown upperparts, pinkish-grey face and breast, white throat, and white distal wing coverts that form a conspicuous white patch on the bird's closed wings. This photo is taken today! small scaled doves have spent the day feeding on the remains of food that fall from my chicken cages, then drink some water (and to bathe a little) in ponds that form after watering my fruit trees . Finally, fly toward the walls to sunbathing! one can say that these tiny doves have found a relaxation center in the middle of the drought!
