The Striolated Puffbird (Nystalus striolatus) is a species of puffbird in the Bucconidae family. It is found in Brazil in the southwestern Amazon Basin and the bordering countries of Peru and Bolivia. A disjunct population lives to the west in a narrow region in central Ecuador and northwestern Peru. The other major population is another disjunct group about 1500 km northeasterly and downstream on the south regions of the Amazon River outlet in the Brazilian state of ParĂ¡. More

PERU (Manu Sept 07): Striolated Puffbird & Common Piping-Guan. Staying at Manu Wildlife Centre we made various excursions to ox-bow lakes, trails and the canopy tower there.
