The Lanceolated Monklet (Micromonacha lanceolata) is a species of bird in the Bucconidae family, the puffbirds. Its genus, Micromonacha, is monotypic. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru. In the western Amazon Basin, it ranges from the Purus River in the southwest Basin, Amazonas state to the Japurá River of southern Colombia in the northwest.
