The endemic Collared Laughingthrush can be found in the evergreen forest leading up to the summit. Other interesting species found here include Green Cochoa, White-cheeked Laughingthrush and Cutia. Collared Laughingthrushes!! For all I cared, we could have turned around right there and then, I was such a happy camper, but a mountain had to be climbed. Actually, most of the track is fairly easy, but it gets very steep towards the end, and temperatures were rising.
