surprise Rufous-browed Conebill in the same area of high Paramo, along with repeated sightings of the attractive Golden-fronted Redstart; and a pair of very cooperative Yellow-browed Shrike-Vireos in the more humid lowlands further downslope. All in all, a varied and interesting set of birds on a tour (well over 400 species were seen), where we took in some of the less visited and interesting corners of Venezuela. More
