The Yellow-vented Warbler Phylloscopus cantator is a north-eastern species which also has a central yellowish crown stripe with dark borders, but has a brighter yellow throat, breast and under tail coverts, which contrast with the white belly. It usually occurs in mixed species flocks in evergreen forest and spreads and flicks its tail when calling.
