The Scaly-breasted Bulbul was taken in Taiping near the old quarry area where a fig tree is full of fruits. During most of the two hours I was there on 18 Aug, the tree was unfortunately also full of monkeys! No sign of the Thick-billed Pigeon which I intend to video and I had to be contented with this bulbul species which was high on my video's wanted list. The trip to Pos Slim on 19 Aug with Ooi was very rewarding. More
