The Red-eyed Bulbul (Pycnonoyus nigricans) or Black-fronted Bulbul of some authors, is a very common resident of the arid regions of s.w. Africa. These individuals were photographed in the Huab River valley of Namibia in October, 1998. The photos were taken with a Canon EOS 1N & EF 300mm F4L IS lens with a 1.4X extender on Fuji Sensia 100 with available natural light. The camera and lens were hand-held on a gunstock mount. More
