Pale Olive Greenbul

The Pale-olive Greenbul is a species of songbird in the Pycnonotidae family. It is found in Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Gabon. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and moist savanna.

The Pale Olive Greenbul is classified as Least Concern. Does not qualify for a more at risk category. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.

surprise pair of Pale Olive Greenbul, nearer the cost than I had previously seen them. After a leisurely lunch and good siesta we took a stroll along the nearby beach, where we watched Cape Gannet plunge-diving for fish. The rest of the tour was focussed on the Angolan escarpment, where we spent 4 nights split between two localities. More widespread species to watch for include Green Woodhoopoe, Crowned Hornbill, Lesser Honeyguide, Golden-tailed Woodpecker, White-browed Robin-Chat, Rufous-vented Paradise Flycatcher (rare), Collared Sunbird, Black-backed Puffback, Black-necked Weaver, Spectacled Weaver, Holub’s Golden Weaver, Dark-backed Weaver, Grey Waxbill (uncommon), Yellow-bellied Greenbul and Narina's Trogon. Further away from the river, a host of bushveld species can be found. More
