Sulphur-bellied Bulbul

It is one of the species of Ixos that might warrant inclusion in the genus Hypsipetes – as long as this is kept separate from Ixos – as it may be a close relative of the Philippine Bulbul , which in turn is closely related to the type species of Hypsipetes, the Black Bulbul .

The Sulphur-bellied Bulbul is classified as Least Concern. Does not qualify for a more at risk category. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.
