Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.

Weavers showed well and a Long-billed Green Sunbird put in a brief appearance. Back on the bus we continued a short way before stopping to check the roadside forest. A Forest Rock Thrush was heard and then we spotted a Madagascar Cuckoo-Shrike, before a Hook-billed Vanga started calling. Eventually we tracked it down and obtained excellent scope views. Continuing on we arrived at the forest and no sooner than we had all got out of the coach, a Cryptic Warbler was heard singing. More
