Philentoma pyrhoptera

The Rufous-winged Philentoma is a bird species. Long placed in the flycatcher family when these were used as a wastebin taxon, they are now tentatively assigned to the Prionopidae pending detailed study. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

The Philentoma pyrhoptera is classified as Least Concern. Does not qualify for a more at risk category. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.
