Blue-headed WagtailThe Blue-headed Wagtail (Motacilla flava) is a small passerine in the wagtail family Motacillidae, which also includes the pipits and longclaws. Distribution / Range This species breeds in much of temperate Europe and Asia and has a foothold in North America in Alaska. This Blue-headed Wagtail was present close to Startops Reservoir for a few days, in a field which was just inside the Buckinghamshire boarder. female Blue-headed Wagtail although the yellow in the supercillium may point to a flava x flavissima hybrid (Channel Wagtail). It is paired with a male flavissima.
