the Yap monarch (Monarcha godeffroyi) and the plain white-eye (Zosterops (or Rukia) oleagineus) are classified as near-threatened. The Yap cicadabird (Coracina tenuirostris nesiotis), which may be elevated to a separate species. A race of the common moorhen (Gallinula chloropus) may also be a threatened subspecies, depending on its origin.
