Tumbes Swallow (Tachycineta stolzmanni), have geographic distributions that do not overlap with that of the White-winged. Sympatry, at least seasonally, is possible between the White-winged Swallow and two other species, the Chilean (Tachycineta meyeni) and White-rumped (Tachycineta leucorrhoa) swallows.
