Gray-bellied Spinetails at the bottom to the Itatiaia Thistletails at the top, we were kept busy for the whole morning. We had our longest drive on the way to Canastra NP, leaving the Atlantic Forest behind for a while to visit the savannahs and gallery forests of interior of Minas Gerais state. The trip was made longer by road work along the last stretch, but we finally made it through all the mud, trucks, and front-end loaders. More
