Red-fronted Rosefinch

The Red-Fronted Rosefinch is a species of rosefinch in the finch family Fringillidae. It is sometimes placed in the monotypic genus Pyrrhospiza. It is found in Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Its natural habitat is montane tundra.

The Red-fronted Rosefinch is classified as Least Concern. Does not qualify for a more at risk category. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.

Lodges There are plenty of good lodges except Phedi, Ghopte and Tharapati, which are pretty basic and Chisopani, which is a right dump. There is a corrupt politician who owns many of the lodges in the Langtang Valley. He has stolen communal land at Kyangin, which means their festivals don't happen. More
