The Wattled Broadbill is endemic to the Mindanao Faunal Region composed of the islands of Mindanao, Samar, Leyte, Bohol, Dinagat, Siargao and Basilan. It inhabits the lower and middle storys of primary and mix secondary forest. Although this bird is only about 6.5 inches in length, it has unmistakable physical characteristics.
