The Peters's Twinspot is quite common and is present from the center of South Africa down to Africa, preferring open areas near shallow streams and the edges of forests. The male is brown with a clear bright red that extends from the face to the chest. The female shows less hue lit and rump, face and chin with a shade that turns on the orange tones.
