ruddy-breasted seedeater (rowti), also a well known cagebird in Suriname. It could be seen around Paramaribo in wasteland in tall grasses, nowadays it is more often noticed far away from town (Ralleighfalls for instance) in wet grasses. Below a male by Carla Out in September 2006 in Guyana (it looks very blue here) and still another male (with narrow red on its belly) and a female photographed by N.
