Pale-throated Serra-Finch

It is endemic to Brazil. Its natural habitats are dry savanna and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland. It is becoming rare due to habitat loss.

The Pale-throated Serra-Finch is classified as Near Threatened (NT), is close to qualifying for or is likely to qualify for a threatened category in the near future.

Pale-throated Serra-Finch was soon heard calling and we were able to get great views as it sat on top of a bush. A Pearly-vented Tody-Tyrant was found as we climbed a slope to photograph a pair of Rufous-winged Antshrikes. Several more Hyacinth Visorbearers and Cinereous Warbling-Finches were seen, but there was no sign of the Cipo Canastero. More
