The Thrush-like Schiffornis (Schiffornis turdina), also called Thrush-like Mourner or Thrush-like Manakin, is a species of Neotropical bird. It is medium-sized, about 24 centimeters (9 in.) long. Depending on subspecies, it is overall brownish or olive. The belly is often grayish. It is found in Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. More

The Thrush-like Schiffornis (Schiffornis turdinus), also called Thrush-like Manakin by some authors, is a bird of the lower levels of the forest. It feeds on insects and fruits. The bird is not brightly plumaged, and can be overlooked in dark understory, but if a male is singing it's presence is quickly known.
