Collared Crow is a fairly common bird in and around Deep Bay, encountered in all seasons on almost every birding trip to Mai Po. The Crow typically forages at drained gei wai/fish ponds during the day, and at night roosts in the inter-tidal mangrove. However outside Hong Kong such encounters are becoming rare and the species is clearly vanishing from former strongholds in China, Vietnam and Taiwan. More
