A near-extinct band-bellied crake found A near-extinct band-bellied crake was seen near the Lung Fu Shan Environmental Centre at HKU. According to a research student at the Division of Ecology and Biodiversity at HKU, band-bellied crakes are a threatened species on the red list of the International Union for Conservation of nature. There are very few of them in the world. There have been 3 of them found in Hong Kong before, but they were either dead or hurt. More
