Giant Wood Rail

The Giant Wood-rail is a species of bird in the Rallidae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and swamps.

In Brazil, the Giant Wood Rail is found mostly in Rio Grande do Sul and it also lives in neighbouring countries. This individual was one of two seen on farmland. Quite shy.
