Karoo bustard (Eupodotis vigorsii) = Karoo bustard (Eupodotis vigorsii) by Jim Scarff. taken in the Tankwa Karoo north of Cape Town, South Africa. I spotted them as they walked about 15m from the edge of the road. This is a bird most birding trips to South Africa have a hard time seeing, let alone photographing. After a few minutes they just vanished into this amazingly barren habitat. I was very lucky. More
