The Black-legged Seriema has similar food habits. In Tucuman, Ar- gentina they were often observed foraging near cattle and horse dung. The gizzards of 4 individuals contained beetles, locusts, green leaves, and grass with a few hard seeds and the body of an entire rat or young cavy.
