Little Bronze Cuckoo

The subspecies rufomerus is sometimes given specific status as the Green-cheeked Bronze Cuckoo, Chrysococcyx rufomerus.

The Little Bronze Cuckoo is classified as Least Concern. Does not qualify for a more at risk category. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.

The Little Bronze Cuckoo is a brood parasite, laying its egg in the nest of the Golden-bellied Gerygone. Once the cuckoo’s egg hatches, the chick will eject the eggs of the host.
