when we heard a Shining Bronze-cuckoo calling from the far side of the salt-marsh. One of our members asked if we would like to see it close to and proceeded to give a perfect imitation of the bird's call. Almost immediately, the bird came flying across the marsh and landed on a bush right beside him. I was lucky.
