the Biak Paradise Kingfisher is still pleasingly common and we twice managed good views of the skulking Biak Coucal. Rare encounters with feeding flocks caused great excitement and produced Geelvink Pygmy Parrot, Biak Gerygone, Dusky Myzomela, Northern Fantail, Golden Monarch, Little Shrike Thrush, and on one occasion a delightful family party of the rare Biak Monarch.
