The Tawny-throated Dotterel Oreopholus ruficollis is a neotropical plover endemic of South America. There is a dearth of knowledge regarding its biology, distribution, and migration routes. The present study consists of information obtained by the authors at 21 sites in Chile and a bibliographical review of the literature of this species in the country.
