The White-Tailed Goldenthroat (Polytmus guainumbi) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. White-tailed Goldenthroat is widespread but uncommon in Paraguay. The species is easily confused with certain other female hummingbirds but note his slightly downcurved bill and green tail with extensive white tips to the feathers!
