The Snowcap is classified as Least Concern. Does not qualify for a more at risk category. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.

These volunteers will train throughout the year on state of the art software, get regular updates on new auction items and sponsors, have a role in deciding menus and decor. The adult male Snowcap is unmistakable. It has the shining white cap which gives this species its English and scientific names, a deep purple body, and white outer tail feathers.
