Diospyros egrettarum

Diospyros egrettarum is to be found today as one of the dominant trees on Ile aux Aigrettes, and is commonly called the Ile aux Aigrettes Ebony. There are individuals growing along the west coast mainland too....but not many! Virtually all the trees on Ile aux Aigrettes show signs of being cut at some point.
