Nile cycad

Also known as the Nile Cycad, this is the extremely rare cycad from northern Uganda and southern Sudan. This medium sized cycad grows to 8 ft. of trunk height, branching at the base, and 2 1/2 ft in diameter. Its leaves are mid-green, 4-6 feet long, with leaflets containing a few spines on each margin.
