Encephalartos munchii

Encephalartos munchii is a rare member of the E. manikensis complex, which is a group of vigorously growing cycads from Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Plants in this complex have with large straight trunks of medium height, leaves with short petioles and numerous reduced spine-like leaflets, leaflets with green cones and red seeds. It has striking blue-green leaves and leaflets (see the picture above) which distinguish it from other members of the group. More
