Fanjingshan Fir

Abies fanjingshanensis is a species of conifer in the Pinaceae family. It is found only in China. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Fanjingshan Firis suitable for subtropical mountain climate, cool in summer and cold in winter, with constant monsoon and abundant precipitation. The pH value of the moist and fertile mountainous yellow brown earth there is 4.5 to 6.5. It can tolerate the lack of sunlight, preferring coldness and wetness. It is mostly found in its pure forests, but sometimes also in the mixed forests. It usually blossoms in May and June, and the cones ripen in October and November. More
