Corokia macrocarpa
species is a small tree called Corokia macrocarpa, which grows in the Chatham Islands, off the east coast of South Island. It can reach 3m (10ft) and was introduced into England in 1836. One British nurseryman, Graham Hutchins of County Park Nursery in Essex, has made four expeditions to New Zealand to collect material and has named seven varieties, each after the place where he found it growing. These include C. cotoneaster 'Ohau Scarlet' and 'Ohau Yellow'. More
