Takhtajania perrieri

Takhtajania is native to the highlands of Madagascar, where it is found in a small area of the Madagascar subhumid forests. It is a small evergreen tree or shrub, with shiny green lance-shaped leaves and reddish-pink flowers.

Takhtajania perrieri which belongs to Winteraceae family and existed around the same period as the dinosaurs. It is endemic to Madagascar and has been discovered in Manongarivo massif and Anjanaharibe in the far north. More
