One of the biggest trees in the Atlantic Forest, there are some old trees in Santa Rita do Passa Quatro and near Petr�polis. One of these trees is more than 3 000 years old.Cariniana legalis is a species of woody plant in the Lecythidaceae family. It is found in south-eastern Brazil, where is known as jequitib�-branco or jequitib�-rosa, possibly Colombia, and possibly Venezuela.
